S Swaminathan is the Chief Executive and Founder of IRIS. An economist trained at Yale University, USA, he served as a Consultant to the World Bank in Washington DC before returning to India to first co-found a software company.
A co-founder of IRIS, Balu (or Balu Sir, as he is known) wears two hats – one as the CFO and the other as the head of the consulting, research and information practice at IRIS.
With over 22 years of experience across product development, operations and client relationship management, Deepta has responsibility for strategically building out and managing IRIS’ operations to support the Company’s vision and business objectives.
The CSR initiatives of IRIS Business Services Ltd. leverage the company’s expertise in technology for information management and knowledge services, and offering technology solutions for content management. These initiatives use these expertise to devise technology solutions for structuring and designing databases comprising social and economic data to provide readily usable quality content for different purposes such as programme management, social and economic research, policy enhancement, and for public education.
Promoter of rigorous research in the social sciences and humanities on (and largely in) India and South Asia. The objective, is to be inclusive rather than exclusive in terms of perspectives and topics.
